SendAsEmail command - XpressDox
The SendAsEmail command function is similar to the SaveAsEmail function, except that the XpressDox template is assembled to an email (eml) and sent directly from the web.
SendAsEmail command structure:
«SendAsEmail(ToAddress,Subject,SenderName,SenderEmail,CC,BCC)»
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| ToAddress | The email address(es) to send the email to |
| Subject | The subject of the email |
| SenderName (optional) | The display name of the sender |
| SenderEmail (optional) | The email address the email is sent from |
| CC (optional) | CC address(es) |
| BCC (optional) | BCC address(es) |
Each parameter can be static text or a data element. Static text values must appear in quotes.
«SendAsEmail('jack@email.com','Information required')»
Email Spoofing:
When specifying a sender email address in the SenderEmail parameter, the domain must match a domain where your sending infrastructure is authorised in DNS. If it does not, receiving mail servers will not trust the email, flag it as spoofed, and it will not be delivered.
Notes:
- SendAsEmail behaves the same as SaveAsEmail when run in the Desktop.
- This feature is available from v14 onwards.
