Microsoft Office provides a customizable Quick Access Toolbar which can be displayed either above or below the ribbon that is currently being displayed. It is also independent of the current ribbon, meaning that is is always visible. It is a good idea to add your frequently used XpressDox buttons to your Quick Access Toolbar, making them more easily accessible and also create yourself some keyboard quick keys.
Add an item to the Quick Access Toolbar
To add something to the Quick Access Toolbar, right click on it and then click Add to Quick Access Toolbar.
Items are added to the Quick Access Toolbar, which is displayed either above or below the ribbon, and assigned a number.
Pressing Alt will reveal what the shortcut is on your PC.
Changing the position of the Quick Access Toolbar
Right click anywhere on the Quick Access Toolbar to show it above or below the ribbon.
Remove an item from the Quick Access Toolbar
Right click on an Item to remove it from the Quick Access Toolbar. We have found on occasion that a Microsoft update resets the Quick Access Toolbar, which means you may have to add your favorite icons again.
